Redefining Change

ELECT AN INDEPENDENT, PRAGMATIC AND FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE CANDIDATE TO REPRESENT MARYLAND'S EIGHTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT IN THE U.S. CONGRESS

Bruce Stern is "the most viable GOP candidate" to challenge Chris Van Hollen in November's general election.

Bruce Stern is a candidate for the Republican nomination for the United States House of Representatives' seat representing Maryland's Eighth Congressional District.  Bruce is an attorney and small business owner in Montgomery County who is running for Congress because he believes that we must restore the concept of fiscal responsibility to Washington.  As a fiscal conservative, he believes we must reign in the rampant Federal deficit spending that is jeopardizing the future of our country.

Bruce's platform is simple:  job creation, restoring the economy and reducing government spending.  While Congress and the Administration focused on healthcare, their attention should have been on restoring the economy and putting Americans back to work.  Bruce believes that the long-term success of this country depends upon lowering taxes, supporting free enterprise and fostering an environment for the creation of jobs in the private sector.  As a Reagan Republican, he believes in the concepts of limited government, low taxes and a strong America capable of defending itself against its enemies.

Bruce has strong cross-over appeal to Independents and Democrats.  He is pragmatic, independent and fiscally responsible.  He shares the same views and values as a majority of voters in Maryland's Eighth District which makes him a strong candidate to challenge the incumbent, Chris Van Hollen, in the November general election.  According to the Gazette Newspapers, Bruce is "the most viable GOP candidate" to challenge Van Hollen.

Americans voted for change in 2008, but did not anticipate the change this Congress is delivering.  Our national debt has skyrocketed to an astounding $13.3 trillion dollars and is projected to hit $20 trillion dollars in the next decade.  The annual Federal budget deficit is $1.4 trillion and is anticipated to hit $1.6 trillion next year.  The recently enacted health care reform bill will likely add significantly to that debt.

With the approval rating of Congress hovering at a scant 20 percent, it is clear that Americans are rejecting the change this Congress has delivered and the massive federal spending spree it has embarked upon.  We need to change Congress in 2010 and elect leaders who will restore fiscal responsibility to Washington.  A message needs to be sent to the Congressional leadership and the Administration that the American people want to redefine their notion of change.  And the best way to initiate this change is to elect Bruce Stern to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Help bring change to Washington.  Vote for Bruce Stern for U.S. Congress.
